The Powerball jackpot has surged to a monstrous $1.5 billion — the fifth-largest in the game’s history —ahead of the holidays after no ticket matched all six winning numbers drawn on Wednesday night. The winning numbers for the estimated $1.27 billion jackpot were 25, 33, 53, 62 and 66, with red Powerball 17.
After no ticket matched the winning numbers drawn in Wednesday's Powerball drawing, the jackpot has now grown to an estimated $1.5 billion — the seventh largest jackpot in the history of Mega Millions and Powerball, with eight of the top 10 jackpots occurring since 2022.

The current jackpot is the fifth-largest in Powerball history, according to lottery officials. It's also the second time Powerball has had back-to-back jackpots topping $1 billion. "The jackpot is set to deliver the ultimate windfall," said Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO, in a news release.
