FDOT continually seeks new ways to improve the travel experience along Florida’s roads, and the Diverging Diamond Interchange, or DDI, is a tool in our toolbox to do just that! At a DDI, traffic temporarily switches to the left side of the road to eliminate the need for left turns across oncoming traffic and reduces the number of traffic light phases, which allows more cars to flow through the area.
