On Friday, Nov. 14, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation hosted a prescribed burn, a practice that rejuvenates land. The prescribed burn was executed by Star Tree Prescribed Fire LLC, with help from the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services, Pound Ridge, Lewisboro and South Salem Fire Departments to ensure a safe day.
